COME IN, story DWELLER
You Were Always Going to Find Your Way Here
Take a seat by the hearth. Apologies for the dark, and the stale stench of fear — it cannot be helped here, in The Teller’s House.
This is where ink sinks deep into your soul. Where that old, cold fear you thought you had forgotten rises slowly to the surface of your skin.
You are among the other Story Dwellers, a place between two worlds. A space to plunge deep into the depth of a story that should never be told. You are curious. I can tell by the look in your eyes. The story has been waiting for you…
Season one
The Study of Quiet Things
A Serialsed Literary Folk Horror Story
Sophie Hamilton’s twin sister is missing. The last trace of her leads to a crumbling Welsh coastal village the media calls The Death Town.
Yet, Llangellen doesn’t welcome strangers. It doesn’t answer questions. The locals won’t meet your eyes, and even the police sergeant has one answer for everything: there is great power in silence. Sophie doesn’t know yet what connects her twin to a string of disappearances in the town, or why a frightened blogger’s posts have suddenly gone dark…
She only knows her sister was there. And now she isn’t.
But Sophie is not the only one lost in Llangellen. There’s a scientist chasing anomalies, and a paranormal investigator running from his past. These three strangers are drawn to the same dying town for reasons none of them fully understand.
What begins as a search, pulls Sophie into something Llangellen has been hiding for generations; a pattern carved into its history, repeating over and over.
The silence here isn’t empty.
It’s waiting.

THE TELLER
Harriet Loveluck
From the shadows
Portrait by Erin Masters
Harriet Loveluck is a Welsh-born author and narrator currently based in Sydney, Australia, writing gothic fiction, folk horror and dark literary storytelling for adults
Her debut serialised novel, The Study of Quiet Things, is a supernatural folk horror mystery set in an isolated Welsh coastal village — a slow-burn story of grief, belief and the dangerous power of untold secrets. It is a story five years in the making — fought for, bled over, and brought to you in two ways: as a serialised novel published chapter by chapter, and brought to life as an audio drama — written, narrated and conjured by Harriet herself.
If you are drawn to the strange, the unsettling and the quietly terrifying — you are in exactly the right place.
